OKAAP Medicaid Quality Measures:
Coding Quick Reference

The Oklahoma Chapter's Pediatric Council has put together a one-page Medicaid Quality Measures Coding Quick Reference to help practices get credit for the preventive care they're already providing.

For each pediatric quality measure used by the three SoonerSelect plans (Humana, Aetna and Oklahoma Complete Health), the sheet shows:

  • Which plans track the measure, and any plan-specific age ranges

  • The CPT/HCPCS codes to bill

  • The ICD-10 codes to pair with them so the service counts toward the measure

It covers well-child and well-care visits, childhood and adolescent immunizations, depression screening, weight assessment and counseling, social needs (SDOH) screening, and ADHD medication follow-up.

Many quality gaps come from coding rather than care: a well visit or screening was done, but the claim didn't carry the codes the plan looks for. We hope this sheet makes it easier for clinicians, coders and billing staff to close those gaps and improve your practice's quality scores.
