Pediatric Obesity Toolkit

The Pediatric Obesity Toolkit was designed by the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (OKAAP) Obesity Committee to provide clinicians with evidence-based, practical guidance on the assessment of pediatric overweight and obesity. The content is based on the “Expert Committee Recommendations on the Prevention, Assessment, and Treatment of Child and Adolescent Overweight and Obesity” by Sarah Barlow, MD, MPH, and the Expert Committee, which were endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Practice in 2007. Adapted from the AAP Pediatric Obesity Clinical Decision Support Chart, this flip chart can be used as a guide to your encounter with an overweight or obese child.
