Congratulations to two OKAAP members for receiving Special Achievement awards from AAP. The Chapter nominated Dr. Stan Grogg and Dr. Marny Dunlap for their outstanding work in child health initiatives.
Dr. Dunlap was nominated and awarded for her efforts in promoting early pediatric child development in projects like Books Build Connections, Reach Out & Read, and Promoting Early Developmental Screening.
Dr. Grogg received the honor for his work in global health outreach missions. Dr. Grogg and his wife Barbara lead medical teams around the world to underserved peoples and just last year escorted teams to Uganda, Vietnam, India, Nicaragua, Belize, and Mexico. Anyone interested in learning more or joining a global health outreach trip can contact Dr. Grogg via his non-profit website www.powerofanickel.org.
The Special Achievement Awards were announced and distributed at the annual District Meeting in early June during the Awards Dinner. Chapter officers and the Executive Director were in attendance.
